Community Update

As was promised on the campaign trail and during our first two meetings, the GCCDD Board is hard at work!

We quickly achieved two of our primary goals: passing a homestead exemption and moving meetings to a more accessible time. But that was just the beginning! Since then Board members have been active all over the area and are working hard to set up more meetings, sit down with more great folks and fill our calendars moving forward.

A few activities of note include meeting with the City of Friendswood to discuss the Master Drainage Plan and attending events such as the RPT Chair Candidate Forum in League City, the victory party for HD29 winner Jeff Barry, and the Dickinson Bayou Watershed tour. We are working hard to establish strong relationships with governmental entities across the area by naming liaisons to city councils, drainage boards, committees, and more.

While many folks feel most comfortable within the 77546, we must build relationships in Pearland, League City, Dickinson, Austin, and even Washington, DC, to best serve our district.
