Members of the GCCDD Board spent Saturday morning touring Dickinson Bayou to gain a deeper understanding of the watershed's condition and the challenges it faces.

Just as Friendswood is affected by the water from communities to our north and west, so are our neighbors to the east and south. The rate and scope of development in our District will impact this watershed, and we have a duty of care to our neighbors when making decisions. Our community and others were well represented from the state level down.

We extend our thanks to the Dickinson Bayou Watershed Steering Committee and all the volunteers who made the morning possible!
